Personalized Banker Landing Pages

Our team looked to improve the way our local bankers receive referrals and mortgage applications through their personal landing pages. What started as a 'Hack Week' project, turned into a 4-week race to deploy a proof-of-concept that could be scaled to thousands of Rocket bankers.

Background

Franchise Bankers combine local presence with Rocket's national brand. Unlike retail loan officers, they generate their own leads and earn higher commissions. Their landing pages were vendor-hosted, limiting customization and web visibility.

Problems

  • Franchise Bankers don't have a way for applicants to be linked to them during the application process, leading borrowers to sometimes be reassigned during the process.
  • Borrowers have to wait for the banker to initiate their application, slowing momentum and creating more time pressure during the home buying process.
  • We are relying on a vendor to surface our Franchise Banker landing pages, which limits our customization options and reduces visibility for web search.

User Flow

Bankers lacked a dedicated link for borrowers to start applications. They relied on vendor-hosted pages where borrowers could contact them via forms, but banker action was required in both scenarios.

After our Hack Week presentation was approved for production, we validated the designs with real estate agents and borrowers before the final build.

Outcome

Our Hack Week project was selected for presentation to leadership—one of 10 teams chosen from across the company. After presenting with the lead engineer, the head of Franchise Banking asked us to deliver a proof-of-concept in a few weeks.

We completed the 4-week sprint and deployed personalized landing pages to all 160 Franchise Bankers nationwide. The pages remain live and have been updated to Rocket's current design system.
